European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR)
The Department of the Environment, coordinator of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) on behalf of the Prince's Government and the European Steering Committee, is pleased to inform you that it has renewed the Principality's application for the 5th time to take part in the 2023 edition of this awareness-raising week, which will take place from November 21 to 26, 2023 on the theme of "Packaging".
The Environment Department's membership of the Steering Committee enables the Principality to be at the heart of the decisions and directions taken in Europe for this important event, and to build relationships with numerous European partners.
The "Packaging" theme chosen for the 2023 event is one to which the Principality is strongly committed, as part of its "zero single-use plastic waste by 2030" policy.
The European Week for Waste Reduction is open to all public, private and even personal actions as long as they focus on waste reduction, whether on the year's theme or any other action aimed at reducing waste production, such as:
- repairing objects
- Detour of old clothes
- collections for associations
- Anti-waste cooking
- Waste collection
- Awareness-raising campaigns
- Tips and tricks for reusing old objects
- Etc ....
